Inspirational Poem about a Woman’s strength

That’s how she does it.

She’s kind,
and that is her power.
A soft word here and there
calms down storms
and unlocks doors.
A warm bright smile,
can melt a frozen heart,
and make it catch on fire.
That’s how she changes your life.

She loves without abandon.
When you are with her,
she makes you feel special.
That’s what makes her beautiful.
Her faith in God is unshakable.
His words are her shield and armor.
That’s how she builds her castle.

When she makes mistakes
as one often does,
she laughs at herself,
and learns from them.
She’s flawed in all the ways that
make her human.

She’s faced the worst
she’s failed,
and had her heart broken.
She knows she’s strong
because she’s still here
and she’s still her,
just wiser and a little more grateful when,
as they often do,
good things happen.
That’s how she moves her
mountains.

Because of what she has been through,
she is sensitive to others
on this beautiful and sometimes
painful journey of life.
She knows how important
it is to show compassion
and how necessary it is to be kind.
That’s how she turns on the lights.
